"Long-lasting colour intensity", "prevents rapid fading" - these are the promises of colour-protecting shampoos for coloured hair. In Stiftung Warentest's shampoo test, 15 of them had to prove their colour-protecting qualities: inexpensive ones from the drugstore for 1.35 euros, brand classics such as Garnier, Guhl and Schauma as well as more expensive shampoos from Paul Mitchell, Udo Walz and Judith Williams for up to 28 euros. Sobering conclusion: five times sufficient, ten times poor.
