External compression straps effectively prevent the contents of the bag from sliding down when carried as a backpack. The padded bottom protects your gear when setting it down. Small items are securely and easily accessible in the lockable zippered side pockets (lock sold separately). Quick access to small items is provided through a discreet outer pocket.
