Salewa Vento Powertex 2.5 Layers jacket

Whether it's a bike-to-hike tour, a bike-to-climb tour or straight to the summit on your bike: you decide how you want to get around in the mountains. We have developed the Vento Powertex 2.5-layer jacket so that even inclement weather can't hold you back - and you always stay protected.

Waterproofness and breathability
The Vento Powertex Jacket is a weatherproof hardshell jacket with a high waterproof rating (water column) of 10,000 millimetres and fully taped seams. The water column describes the pressure required for water to penetrate the fabric. Above all, however, the 2.5-layer jacket scores points with its very high breathability of 40,000 g/m²/24h: This means that up to 40 litres of water vapour per square metre can evaporate within 24 hours. This means that the jacket is comfortable to wear in the saddle all day long.

Bike-specific fit
With its longer cut back, high collar and extended cuffs to keep out cold draughts, the Vento Powertex Jacket is specially designed for the demands of bike tours. There is also an elasticated, comfortable storm hood that fits easily under a helmet and provides a clear view at all times - which is particularly important for safety on demanding terrain. The special ventilation slits in the upper back area provide additional ventilation when the climb becomes more strenuous. Important small items such as gloves or energy bars can be safely stowed in the zipped chest pocket and remain within easy reach. If the temperature - or the intensity - rises, the Vento jacket can be easily stowed away in its own integrated compression pocket.
