Salewa Sella Durastretch Hybrid Softshell Jacket

Strenuous ascents and rapid powder descents in freezing cold: In hardly any other mountain sport discipline does the body have to cope with such rapid changes in temperature and weather conditions as in ski touring. We have developed the hybrid softshell jacket precisely for such days: The Sella Durastretch Hybrid Softshell protects in wind and weather, warms in the cold and remains highly breathable during intensive sessions.

Zone-specific weather protection and temperature-regulating comfort
Thanks to its hybrid construction, the Sella Durastretch Hybrid Softshell jacket combines the comfort of a softshell with the protection of a hardshell jacket in exposed zones such as the front and shoulders. The jacket is designed according to the body mapping principle, so that different parts of the body can be supplied with exactly the right material. At the back and on the arms, the Durastretch softshell main material with 22 per cent fine merino wool ensures excellent breathability and ideal moisture transport. On the front and shoulders, on the other hand, our lightweight, wind- and waterproof three-layer Powertex material is used to reliably protect against adverse conditions.

With features like the Direct Access chest pocket, which gives quick access to the avalanche transceiver or layers underneath with an innovative zip system with double slider, the softshell jacket is the ideal companion for alpine pursuits in winter. The zips are waterproof, the cuffs can be adjusted via the Velcro fastener and close neatly over the gloves. Both materials are also equipped with a durable water-repellent, PFC-free DWR (Durable Water Repellent) impregnation. Together with the high wool content of the main Durastretch material, the jacket qualifies as part of the Salewa Committed collection, whose products are produced according to our additional strict sustainability and environmental standards.
