Salewa Puez Catinaccio 2 Tirolwool® Responsive hooded jacket

The Catinaccio insulation jacket combines natural wool with our highly technical, synthetic Responsive insulation. The name of the lightweight, warm men's jacket, which also serves as a mid-layer, is actually the Italian name of the Catinaccio massif in the Dolomites. The TirolWool® insulation with a high lanolin content (wool wax) comes from Tyrolean mountain sheep and is highly functional: the wool wax allows the wool to keep you warm even when wet. Responsive technology, on the other hand, is a patented blend that incorporates thermoreactive minerals. This gives the material the unique ability to convert the body's radiant heat into infrared light, store it and gradually release it back to the body. The outer material is an ultra-light nylon ripstop fabric with a water-repellent, PFAS-free DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating.

Other mountain-ready features include a full-length front zip with a windproof placket that reliably keeps out draughts and a high, full-length collar that reaches up to the chin.
