For Falke Pure Fil d'Ecosse is used exclusively pure "Karnak" cotton from the Egyptian Nile Delta. After unfolding under the southern sun, the fibers and seeds are painstakingly combed out of the cotton batting to create a product of pure purity and softness. Italian spinning mills use the extra-long fibers to produce a yarn that, when double-twisted, offers exceptional strength and high durability. Through the additional refinement of mercerizing, Fil d'Ecosse gets its silky sheen and unique color intensity. Falke Pure Fil d'Ecosse is presented in a varied range of colors in plain knit.
