Mepore® is a breathable, absorbent, self-adhesive dressing for lightly to moderately exuding wounds such as surgical wounds, cuts, and abrasions. The skin-friendly polyacrylate adhesive is based on a water emulsion, is free from binders and solvents, allowing for gentle and secure adhesion.
The wound pad can absorb small amounts of wound fluids, and the low-adhesion surface coating reduces the risk of sticking to the wound. Additionally, Mepore is breathable to prevent wound maceration while maintaining a moist wound environment.
The porous structure of the nonwoven fabric ensures air and water permeability. This material is elastic, conforms well to the body, and allows for movement. Furthermore, it is non-absorbent and prevents saturation.
The easy-to-remove protective film enables sterile application.
