Fortunately, their physical characteristics help them survive - they can catch their prey with their 15 cm long tongue, track food through electroreceptors in their snout and hide easily by camouflaging themselves on the ground with their multi-coloured spines. The EUGY echidna was produced in collaboration with the Royal Australian Mint and adorns the Australian 5 cent coin.
