Product details

Solvent-free, permanently elastic wall and ceiling paint with a fine texture for indoor use, wash-resistant according to EN 13 300.

Clay paint is breathable and moisture-regulating, contributing to a healthy indoor climate. It has antistatic properties, provides good coverage, and can be applied with minimal dripping and splattering. With a very high solids content, the paint offers excellent filling and covering capabilities.

Areas of application:
For opaque and filling coatings on dry, absorbent, grease-free surfaces such as wallpapers, plaster, and typical mineral surfaces, as well as on solid old coatings and wood.

Drying time:
Repaintable after 6 – 12 hours depending on room temperature and humidity. Final drying after approximately 10 days.

Coverage:
Approximately 0.10 - 0.17 liters per m²; about 6 - 8 m² per liter.

Application instructions:

Preparation:
Thoroughly remove water-soluble old coatings such as glue or lime paints. Non-adhering paint residues should be brushed off. Very smooth and less absorbent surfaces should be mechanically roughened. Highly absorbent and sanding surfaces must be pre-treated.

Application:
The paint should be applied evenly and thinly with a roller or brush. It should be spread uniformly in all directions. On light surfaces, usually one coat is sufficient. For highly absorbent surfaces (clay plaster, lime-sandstone, etc.), we recommend a preliminary coat with diluted paint (max. 10% water). After drying, the final coat should be applied undiluted. Each layer of paint must be dry before applying the next coat! Note: Clay paint is a natural product and may exhibit slight color variations from batch to batch. Therefore, attention should be paid to batch consistency during application. Buckets from different batches should be mixed if necessary.
