Schwalbe Big Apple

Air suspension built-in directly. The Big Apple started the balloon bike trend ten years ago: comfortable cycling without complicated technology! The air cushion of the tires is used as natural suspension. At around 2 Bar, a balloon bike rolls wonderfully lightly with full suspension effect. A normal tire with a width of 37 mm needs to be inflated to a hard 4 Bar to roll similarly well.

E-Bike Ready 25: Do you need special tires for e-bikes? For standard pedelecs with pedal assistance up to 25 km/h, the law does not require special tires. However, even with these bikes, the loads and average speeds are higher than with regular bikes, which is why Schwalbe only recommends certain tires as "E-Bike ready 25."
