Salewa Cristallo Warm Alpine Merino Responsive Short Sleeve Baselayer

The Cristallo is our short-sleeved, warm, moisture-wicking and skin-friendly winter baselayer. It naturally inhibits odor and is perfect for intense days in the mountains. It takes its name from Monte Cristallo, the prominent mountain northeast of Cortina d'Ampezzo.

Moisture wicking, thermoregulating, comfortable.
The Alpine Merino Responsive fabric is a hybrid blended fabric made of 78% merino wool and 22% polyamide. It wicks moisture away from the body and dries quickly. The synthetic fibers are enhanced with our proprietary Responsive technology. It is based on a special blend of natural thermoreactive minerals that recycle the body's far infrared energy (FIR) and slowly release it. This results in improved performance as well as faster recovery, and also keeps you warmer longer. These benefits are maintained throughout the life of the fabric, as Responsive is an integral part of the fabric and will not wash out. Alpine Merino Responsive is also bluesign® certified.

Innovative knit construction
The Cristallo is made using a special knitting process that spins a superfine merino yarn around a nylon core. This process makes the resulting fiber not only stronger and fluffier, but also 30% lighter than comparable baselayer fibers. In addition, the high polyamide content improves its durability and stretch properties. The baselayer has a body-hugging fit with a round neckline and integrated gusset in the underarm area for more freedom of movement. It also comes completely without annoying seams.
