The Arpenaz 500 Revival remains true to its roots and offers optimal grip and cushioning on all field, forest, and coastal paths, thanks to its elastomer (EVA) sole.

This hiking shoe provides a certain level of breathability, but not enough to wick away all sweat. Therefore, we recommend wearing the low or mid-height Hike 100 hiking socks: they are made from absorbent cotton and feature a terry sole that draws moisture away from the foot. At the same time, the socks are high enough to protect the ankle from the shoe. This clever combination significantly reduces the risk of blisters.

The sole design is the result of extensive research in our laboratories. The special rubber variant ensures optimized grip and traction. We ensure that the sole is balanced in its composition to meet the varying demands of forest or coastal paths. Wearing the shoes on roads can accelerate wear and tear and reduce comfort. The shoes are not suitable for high-altitude hikes.

Our nature hiking shoes stand out with their unique comfort. We have incorporated various components into these shoes to protect your feet, such as the EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) midsole and insole, or the shoe collar (upper part of the heel) with integrated foam for added comfort.

In laboratory tests, the following aspects are checked: processing of eyelets and straps, adhesive joints, harmful substances, UV resistance, abrasion resistance of the sole and upper, and material aging. Through these tests, we can improve the quality of our products and prevent premature wear.
