La Sportiva has equipped the low-cut shoe with a textile upper and a GORE-TEX® membrane. This construction enables the shoe's relatively low weight and absolute weather resistance. The special lacing system distributes the tension evenly over the entire instep so that you benefit from pressure-free comfort. To protect your foot and the material from damage in scree, La Sportiva has installed a protective cap in the toe and heel area of the Ultra Raptor II GTX. Another striking feature is the special edging on the heel, which stabilises and supports you when traversing. The FriXion® White sole is made from a rubber compound that ensures durability for the intended use. Functional support is provided by the Impact Brake System™ (IBS), which supports braking power in the downhill movement, guarantees maximum traction in the uphill movement and reduces shock loads when stepping with specially arranged studs. In addition, the EVA midsole and the 5 mm thick Ortholite® footbed provide comfortable cushioning.
