Lenovo ThinkVision P27h-20
2560 x 1440 pixels, 27"
Hello, I use this monitor in exactly the same way, together with an older ThinkVision monitor. First monitor with USB-C on the notebook, monitors below each other with DisplayPort.
In the Windows screen settings, you should be able to set whether the image of the notebook is mirrored on the monitor, whether only the image on the external monitor can be displayed or whether you want to use the notebook and external monitor simultaneously. On the monitor you would probably have to select the input where the monitor cable is plugged in. Some monitors do not automatically search for the input they are using.
No, you have to do this via the start button of the notebook. If you don't want to do this, a docking station might be an idea.
Hi Tripleeye, yes this is exactly my setup (MBPM1+P27h-20 connected via USB-C) and I never have any problems with charging. Am very happy with the monitor. Many greetings
Attention, this screen can cause problems with MacBools. Had ordered one and it was not compatible with my MacBook pro 2016 (the problem was also confirmed after a quick google search and Digitec phone). So I would do a research to see if the screen fits with the M1 models at all. Bought an equivalent Dell model instead, which works without problems.
Yes, that's exactly how it works.
I use the monitor with 2016 and 2019 MBP's and have no problems with it. The only thing to keep in mind is that the monitor must be turned on when you disconnect or connect it to the MPB. Turning it off when it's still attached or turning it on after it's connected doesn't work and can really only be fixed by rebooting the Mac. hth
Also, was the top button on the screen not pressed by mistake? This also switches the sound on/off... otherwise check the volume mixer to see if it is still muted? For me, this works....
I have no problems at all. Just plug in via usb c and works like a dream. Although, you can notice a difference between using mac's 4k display and the image on lenovo
I believe the P27q-20 is from 2019 and the P27h-20 is from 2020. The only differences I could find are a USB-C and RJ-45 port on the P27h-20, which apparently didn't exist on the 2019 model.
Yes, it works. My only problem with this monitor is that occasionally charging via USB-C doesn't work. It has happened to me a few times that the Mac suddenly shuts down because the battery has run out - without warning! Apparently Lenovo's "Smart Power" implementation is not that smart... You have to manually set the monitor to Super Charging (90W) then it works. So I personally would not recommend this device.
The resolution and the design. T27i 1920x1080 vs P27h 2560x1440. P27 also supports USB-C with charging.
...what kind of graphics card is used? The two monitors must be set in the graphics card drivers!
Works flawlessly on MacBook Pro via USB-C and charges the laptop at full power
No, just usb c
USB C cable is included
I also use the part as a docking station to use a Lenovo X280 (power consumption max. 65W) via USB-C. Works perfectly for charging, LAN and USB. Daisy chaining of two monitors via "DP->" from monitor 1 to "DP" monitor 2 is supposed to work, but I don't use it.
