You can connect the TP-Link 4G router to the ASUS router via a LAN cable. The ASUS router supports connection via LAN, but it does not have an integrated 4G modem function. You can use the TP-Link router as a backup Internet connection by connecting it to the ASUS router via a LAN cable. Note, however, that the dual WAN function must be configured via the ASUS router's web GUI.

Hello You have 4 LAN ports on the routers. 3 yellow and 1 blue. Only the blue port has a data throughput of 2.5Gbps and is intended for WAN. The 3 yellow LAN ports only have a data throughput of 1 Gbps. So if you connect your laptop/PC directly via LAN cable to one of the yellow ports, you should definitely get 1Gpbs displayed on the network card! What is displayed on the network card is the maximum possible transfer rate of the LAN or WLAN connection anyway. For example, my Android mobile shows a connection speed of 1200 Mbps. I am connected to the 2nd router which is connected to the main router via MESH uplink (not LAN uplink). However, my Internet connection from the provider is only max. 500 Mbps. My laptop network card only has a maximum throughput of 1Gbps, so even if I connected directly to your Sunrise modem, which appears to have 2Gbps LAN connections, it would only show me 1Gbps. However, it is quite difficult to analyse what exactly is configured in your system and what devices you have. Do you have a special network card in your PC that displays 2 Gbps directly on the Sunrise modem? Because the vast majority of standard network cards usually only have 1 Gbps anyway.

If you operate the Zyxel device as a router and connect an Asus device via cable, it should work. Then operate the Asus devices in AP mode. Only Asus devices work in Mesh mode

The set consists of ASUS ZenWiFi XT8 WiFi 6 AX6600 (2 Pack) and https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/asus-zenwifi-xt8-router-13189297. The difference is currently not that clear, but the set actually costs more. I'm happy to pass this on internally for verification. The price distribution is somewhat specific with suppliers, so I imagine we will have to deactivate the set offer in the foreseeable future.

One of the advantages of Asus routers is that any AI mesh-enabled router from Asus can be used as satellites/nodes. I use the two ASUS ZenWiFi XT8s together with two old Asus routers as nodes (one RT-AC68U and one RT-AC66U B1), i.e. I have a mesh network with one master and 3 nodes.

900m2 large house? I assume that rather means the entire property, otherwise the house would be around 30 x 30 m with one floor. If the house is really that big, especially over several floors, I would take more than the two routers. Our house has 4 floors with a basement, which is about 300 m". On top of that, we have about 600 m2 of grounds/garden. One of the two Asus routers is directly attached to the UPC modem on the 1st floor. The second one is on the ground floor in the living room, about in the middle of the house. The house is almost 100 years old, without concrete walls, a lot of wood. We have reception everywhere in the house. In the garden we still have reception up to a maximum distance of 10 metres from the house.

Uh, funny question. It is No. 2 that serves as a relay, increased the radiation of No. 1. But if the other flat is close to the first one, one could imagine extending the WiFi to the second owner. But it's THE SAME WIFI, THE SAME NETWORK.

You could (according to the specification) but for me, even after 3 attempts, it always stopped after a few hours (200GB backup size) via WLAN. My brother also has the same ASUS and tried it with a USB-C to Ethernet adapter and it always stopped there too. So it doesn't really seem to work reliably...

WiFi mesh routers can be used with any existing modem or router. The mesh router takes over everything, WiFi, the LAN connections, the assignment of IP addresses with a built-in DHCP server. The WiFi of the existing router and modem must be switched off and also switched off, because the mesh router takes over (it is better in any case). Of course, this means that the first WiFi mesh router must be located near the existing modem. Everything existing that can use WiFi must now be removed, no old repeaters should be used (they are not WiFi 6 anyway). 2. one of the WiFi Mesh Routers is connected directly to the existing modem or to the existing router via LAN cable, this is necessary so that the Internet can reach the WiFi Mesh Router. What you should not do, if possible, is leave devices connected to the existing router, because the WiFi Mesh system will provide a new IP address range because it now takes over everything. Everything that needs a LAN connection should therefore be connected directly to the WiFi Mesh router. They usually have several LAN connections with Gbit Ethernet and if it is not enough, simply connect a switch. And another tip to optimise everything, there are also WiFi 6 mesh routers from other manufacturers, where you can get 3 mesh router devices for about 350 Swiss francs, i.e. you can get further with them. Expanding the Asus WiFi 6 quickly becomes expensive if two stations are not enough. A TP Link X20 WiFi 6 mesh router system with integrated antivirus and antiphishing HomeCare solution costs 359 francs at Digitec with 3 units. Tp-Link Deco X20 Set of 3 And the even better Deco X60 is only 339 francs (at least at the time I wrote this answer): Tp-Link Deco X60 WiFi 6 Set of 3

Oh, I'm afraid Digitec only has a 30-day return policy, but what you can do now is send it in for repair. If a repair cannot be carried out successfully several times and the product is defective, you have the right to withdraw from the contract, demand a price reduction or get a new replacement product. Or alternatively buy something else with WiFi6, e.g. a TP Link X20 3-piece set for WiFi6 costs only 356 and the even better X60 3-piece set costs 399 francs.
