Question about ASUS ZenWiFi XT8 WiFi 6 AX6600 (2 Pack)

Can I also use them only as AP's with mesh function? I already have a well-wired flat with a Swisscom router that I can't swap (10gbit fibre). I would then deactivate the wifi of the Swisscom box, connect one mesh router directly to the box and assign a fixed IP to the AP. I would also connect the 2nd AP to the network, simply on the other side of the flat. Everything else, including DHCP, should happen through the Swisscom router.
