One Thousand and One Nights: your oriental loggia

Summer is over, but don’t despair! If you have a loggia, summer is never over. We have a few ideas how to turn your outdoor living room into an oriental oasis.

With oriental lamps, cushions with colourful fringes and ornamental rugs, this autumn is going to be cosy. Closed balconies and loggias are dry and warm, which makes them simply perfect to turn into a Moroccan-style room.

«Get the look» – put together your very own oriental oasis

The ideal surface

The secret to a relaxing and cosy room is fabric – the more, the better. Assemble all your cushions, rugs and poufs, even those with fringes, pompoms and pearls. The wild mixture will make your room look inviting and put you in a good mood the second you enter it.

Lighting

No oriental oasis without colourful, flickering lights. Moroccan lamps and lanterns shine beautiful patterns onto their surroundings while candles cover your loggia in relaxing light and will make you feel as if you were in a luxury Bedouin tent.

Perforated lamp shades produce pretty light effects.

Accessories

Once you’ve chosen your fabrics and lighting, it’s time to add finishing touches. We’ve gone with decorative accessories in gold and brass, as they add to the oriental look and create a warm feel at the same time.

When I’m not busy putting together home décor themes or planning marketing activities for Galaxus, I enjoy decorating my home with things I love and starting DIY projects I finish all too rarely. The inspiration I get comes from blogs, magazines and travels. My favourite home living styles: Nautical, Scandinavian and Nordic.
