Copy Paste: how to recreate Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s Cannes look

In her look, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley combines business with beach. The star of her all-white outfit is the vest – the trend piece of the summer.

Actually, the vest is part of a trio. Paired with suit trousers and a jacket, it makes up the classic three-piece suit and is traditionally worn over a shirt. But by this spring, it became clear that the vest also has what it takes to be a solo artist. While a waistcoat on bare skin was once considered a no-go, it’s currently one of the most relevant trend pieces.

It’s worn as a kind of distinguished tank top, paired with jeans shorts and flip flops for a casual look or with suit pants and stilettos for an elegant look – all without a blouse or T-shirt underneath. It shows that summer outfits don’t always have to be playful and light. Structured cuts and formal pieces also have a raison d’être in warmer months. Model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley shows just how great this can look. While in Cannes with actor-husband Jason Statham, the 36-year-old positively radiated in a creamy-white two-piece outfit consisting of a vest and suit pants.

Cloth pants with wide legs are pleasantly airy and offer a lot of freedom of movement, making them perfect for high temperatures. The beige belt discreetly brings in a darker natural tone without dividing the body in an unflattering way by creating too much contrast. Sandals or heeled slip-ons make the legs look longer while XXL sunglasses give the look an appropriate dose of drama.

Has endless love for shoulder pads, Stratocasters and sashimi, but a limited tolerance for bad impressions of her Eastern Swiss dialect.
