Cosy clothes for cold nights
Warm clothing is just as important as an insulating base layer. Because it can get really cold at night on the campsite. I definitely recommend buying a sleeping bag with long sleeves, a permeable hat and warm tights
Of course, babies should not be overdressed. The best place to check this is your baby's neck: if they are sweating there or feel particularly warm, they may be overdressed.
Foldable bowl
A collapsible washing-up bowl has also proven to be very practical. The unfamiliar and sometimes noisy sanitary facilities on campsites can be a major stress factor for babies. Can - but doesn't have to be. With the folding bowl, you can give your baby a quick bath or splash around in the tent.
Don't give bacteria a chance
If you're not breastfeeding your child and you're out and about for several days, you'll need to sterilise bottles, dummies and the like. Unfortunately, I haven't found a practical magic device for this in our shop - and it's not even necessary. All you need is a cooker (or alternatively the kitchen at the campsite) and a pot. You need to boil the bottles in water for at least five minutes, after which they are sterile.

You can certainly take numerous other gadgets with you, but if you like to pack light, you are well advised to take the above items. I can definitely recommend sun protection for babies and mosquito repellent - even if you would probably have them with you anyway. A foldable changing mat is also worth its weight in gold. If that sounds like too many bells and whistles, just take an old towel with you.
