"Bilanz" ranking list: Our mobile phone subscription has made it onto the podium

Once a year, the business magazine "Bilanz" surveys thousands of people and asks them to rate how satisfied they are with their telecoms service providers. For digitec connect, it was once again enough for a place in the top 3.
"Wait a minute, digitec connect, I thought you were Galaxus Mobile now...?" Something like that might be going through your mind right now. And yes, your irritation is justified. The renaming of digitec connect to Galaxus Mobile only happened at the beginning of May. The "Bilanz" survey took place before that, which is why they assessed the "old" digitec connect offer. The ranking therefore does not yet reflect the fact that the tariffs became even cheaper with the renaming to Galaxus Mobile. And this even in the long term, because we are not playing discount games.
However, the results are still pleasing. After an almost disappointing fourth place in the 2022 ranking, digitec connect moved up one place again in 2023. In the mobile communications category for "The best telecoms suppliers for private customers", the final result is third place. The top position went to Digital Republic, with second place going to Teleboy. Behind digitec connect, iWay and Quickline took fourth and fifth place respectively.
Underdogs outperform established players
In the survey, participants were asked to rate their respective mobile phone supplier in five categories using Swiss school grades: quality, innovation, price, flexibility and support. The average scores for each category were added together to produce the ranking list.
It is striking that the large suppliers with hundreds of thousands of customer contracts all landed in the bottom third. Swisscom is even in last place, Sunrise in penultimate place. In the quality category, Sunrise scored the worst with a 3.72. Swisscom was rated worst on average for both price and support.
In the article published by "Bilanz" to accompany the ranking, it is noted that
two trends from last year also crystallise from the responses this year: Firstly, customers have become even more willing to switch from the large universal providers to the small carriers because they respond more flexibly to customer requests. And: the level of quality is steadily increasing.
A good assessment no longer depends solely on network quality, but also on support, price and flexibility.
Potential in the business customer segment
Despite its podium position, the team responsible for Galaxus Mobile is not sitting back. In the ranking for business customers, for example, Galaxus Mobile does not even appear in the survey. Yet there is also a very attractive B2B offer for SMEs, says Thomas Peter, Senior Business Developer at Galaxus Mobile. "Whether you're a one-man business or a medium-sized company with several hundred employees throughout Switzerland - we have something on sale for pretty much every need," says Thomas. If you want to find out more, you can find all the information you need at this link.
The company is now officially "small, but also very attractive" in the private customer segment, says Thomas. And what is the goal for next year? "Well, just defending our place on the podium wouldn't really suit us, would it?" Especially as the new Galaxus Mobile offer has given customers another better deal, including 5G and lower monthly prices. .
