Food, plant remains and metabolic products pollute the aquarium water. Since aquarium filters cannot completely remove these substances from the water and a largepart of the dirt gets into the aquarium bottom, a regular partial water change (about every 2 weeks 1/3 of the water content) must be carried out. The partial water change should always be combined with vacuuming the dirt out of the substrate. After the partial water change, it is essential to use a good water conditioner such as Biotopol to prepare the new tap water in a way that is suitable for fish. Simple installation Connect the water jet pump to the water tap. Connect the long hose to the water jet pump and the other end to the mulch bell. Hang the mulch bell into the aquarium. Set the stopcock on the water jet pump to flow. Open the water tap strongly. The water flowing past sucks in the aquarium water. While the water is being sucked in, clean the bottom of the aquarium with the mulm bell. To refill the aquarium, close the stopcock on the water jet pump and let fresh water flow into the aquarium.
