For space enthusiasts: Lego presents two new sets

If you have a soft spot for space and Lego, you should be delighted by this news: Lego is launching two new sets on the market: NASA's Artemis launch pad and the Milky Way galaxy. Both sets will be available to Lego insiders from 15 May 2024 and from 18 May thereafter.

The set is a replica of the Artemis launch pad, which prepared NASA astronauts for the moon landing in November 2022. The set, which will have the number 10 341, also includes a multi-stage rocket with two solid fuel boosters. The launch tower has retractable supply cables, a rocket prop and a bridge for the crew. Also included is a model of the Orion spacecraft, which is powered by the "European Service Module" of the "European Space Agency ESA". It has fold-out solar cells that can be placed inside the rocket or on a stand.

The set consists of 3601 parts and is recommended for ages 18 and up. When assembled, the set measures 70 x 27 x 30 centimetres. The ramp will cost 219.99 euros or 269 francs.

The Milky Way galaxy consists of 3091 pieces and can be hung on the wall as a work of art once completed. The set is built up in layers to create a 3D effect. In total, the Lego artwork measures 40 x 65 x 5 centimetres. You will be able to assemble some well-known stars, clusters and other celestial bodies. The Milky Way set will cost 199.99 euros or 209 francs.
