About the Cab Ban This Dragon Artwork: In 1988, Powell-Peralta placed an "Artist Wanted" ad in TWS and Thrasher. The "winner" of the competition would receive a job in the art department at Powell-Peralta in Santa Barbara. The selected artist was Sean Cliver, primarily because his illustration style closely resembled that of VCJ. Cliver's first deck design, the Barbee Ragdoll, deviated from the traditional VCJ look, but when it came time to update the Caballero dragon, Sean emulated the master. At some point later, someone referred to the graphic as Cab "Ban This" Dragon, as it was prominently featured in this video. Originally released: 1988 Artwork by: Sean Cliver Features: Screen-printed logo t-shirt Large graphic on the back and small graphic on the left chest Screen-printed inner label 5.3 ounces 100% US cotton Standard fit for adults Classic medium-weight fabric Double-stitched at the sleeve and bottom hems Taped neck and shoulders 7/8" ribbed collar.
