Additionally, the back system remains dry when the backpack is set down. If any snow does get onto the carrying system, the new robust, breathable, and snow-repellent material ensures a dry back. Safety is also a top priority with the Freerider. The touring backpack has a separate and easily accessible safety compartment for a probe and shovel, keeping the essentials within reach in case of an emergency. A new feature is the variable attachment system. With two separate straps, skis, a snowboard, and snowshoes can be quickly secured to the outside of the backpack: skis can be attached diagonally or in an A-shape, while the snowboard and snowshoes can be secured vertically. Additionally, the flexible attachment straps can be used for side compression.
