Vigneti del Vulture Piano del Cerro Aglianico

Tasting note: A nearly youthful dark red. On the nose, roasted aromas, dried figs, porcini mushrooms, and almond notes. On the palate, plenty of blackcurrant, again fine roasted aromas and tar, dense, complex, and ending intensely in the finish. We find the proximity to the volcano palpable in the wine. The barren rock leaves a character in the taste.
