On 19.10.2019 we bought the toothbrush. Initially, the product also worked great, but the joy lasted only about 4 weeks. After 4 weeks, the ultrasonic effect was gone. You can see it when you turn on the brush under running water:
- Good condition: The water splashes in all directions.
- Bad condition: The water hardly sprays anymore
The worse the ultrasonic effect is, the louder the brush gets. Presumably, the brush wants to disguise the missing ultrasound by loud noise.
Now that was already the second Philips toothbrush. Have just looked in the order history. The first brush lasted at least 2 years until it gave up the ghost with the same symptoms.

Brushes well, also the different cleaning levels are okay, also recognised the type of toothbrush at the beginning and set it correctly. After a week, nothing worked. Returned it and got a replacement, but this replacement toothbrush no longer automatically recognises the type of toothbrush (for white, for gums etc.). It's good to use a cheaper version, because the bells and whistles only worked for a short time. A pity. We still use the Platinum, which is much better and a little cheaper. I'm curious how long this one will last. Tip: if you register the toothbrush online, you have a 3-year guarantee.

Cool toothbrush. But because a replacement brush costs at least 7 stones there are only 2 stars.
After 4 months he says change brush.
Battery is surprisingly good. Has just lasted 3 weeks (possibly it would last even longer). The device is now 2 years old.

Why does everyone at home want to tell you how to do what?

This is now our fourth Philips Sonicare toothbrush, and the reason is that the first two we had, the buttons became jammed and therefore would not work. So Philips do have a quality issue with the button on their toothbrushes.

After 5 years of OralB I gave Philips 6100 a try and I'm quite satisfied. Design and battery lasting are very attractive. First 2 use were very strange and felt like I was doing nothing to clean my teeth but at the end they were clean. The sonic pulsation is very different from the oscillatory one from OralB but seems to do a great job, the brushing seems more naturally with Philips.
One minus is that I can't personalize the head like in oralB heads, with color rings to be used by two persons. I had to write our initials with permanent marker to be able to make the difference between the heads. If both persons want to use the same type of brush head or same type of brush is very difficult not to mistake which one is yours and which one is for partner.
I would like to be able to buy some brush stands for it.
Accessories are very expensive. For example the brush for sensitive gums C3 are around 45 euros for 4 pieces and a regular tooth brush around the same price!
