Beurer HR 5000
My old device cost half as much and was from a brand company and did a great job for five years. This purchase was an absolute mistake. I regret it!

Anticipation:
- USB port!
- Charging and storage station!
- Only one hour charging time!
(and these are criteria essential for hair / beard trimmers these days).
Reality:
- USB connector in the charging station has loose contact.
- The set length slips only with slight pressure of the attachments against the head!
- The blade does not cut. I have to go over the same spots on the back of my head a good 50 times and hardly any hair falls off. I constantly have to pull out my old trimmer and finish cutting my hair with it.
- Once the battery only shows about 70%, it drops to 10% within a few minutes with a corresponding decrease in power.
- Inserting and removing the attachments and the blade itself is very fussy. It constantly sounds like the parts are breaking or a plastic part is chipping off.
- There is a large gap between the blade and the unit. Many trimmers have one, but not this wide. With this device, whole tufts of hair collect in it within seconds (if you catch a spot on your head where the device finally cuts hair).
- According to the instructions, the device should not be used in wet rooms. So not in the bathroom room, where you usually shave and cut your hair. Completely pointless.

Absolutely grotty. As if a fashion designer had designed a hair clipper. Has a gap in front of the blade so all the hair gets stuck there and new hair can't get to the blade. Therefore cuts nothing
Very disappointing: due to a design failure, the hairs get trapped inside the blades. As a consequence, every 2 minutes the machine stops cutting the hair. You need to desmout the blades and clean them properly.
This make the hair cutting process a pain!
