Unfortunately, the travel case is just a cheap plastic holder without a charging option. As I previously had the more expensive SoniCare (until it broke after 2 years), I tested it with its travel case, but unfortunately it is not compatible.

I think we are now on our 4th toothbrush after several warranty replacements. It always has the above mentioned defect of first getting louder and then the spindle gets completely loose and the toothbrush is useless. The longest interval we have had one of these was 9 months - normally it breaks after 3-6 months. This is very bad, especially in terms of sustainability. I think this product should be taken off the market and anyone still using these toothbrushes should receive a replacement with an alternative product as soon as ProtectiveClean 5100 fails.

Basically no problem in standard mode. Depending on the age of the children, it may be difficult to hold them. For children aged 3-10 years, I would recommend the Philips Sonicare For Kids. The children's brush heads also fit better in children's mouths.

The model has 3 cleaning programmes (clean, white, gum care). These programmes have different types and intensities of vibration. However, there is no setting for e.g. the intensity of the vibration of a cleaning programme.
