Does the toothbrush really weigh 500 grams?

Helpful answer

The toothbrush does not weigh 500 grams. Unfortunately, I have not found an exact weight specification in the available data. However, one online retailer lists a weight of 1.220 kg, which is obviously a mistake as this would be far too heavy for a toothbrush. Normally, electric toothbrushes weigh around 100 to 200 grams.

The glass charging station of the DiamondClean 9000 is specially designed for this model and similar Philips Sonicare products. It is not clear whether it also supports other models such as the Philips Sonicare ProtectiveClean 5100. The glass charging base is usually optimised for the DiamondClean series and compatibility with other models may vary. It would be advisable to consult the official Philips documentation or customer service to ensure that the charging station is compatible with other models.

The travel case for the Philips Sonicare DiamondClean 9000 uses a USB-A connection, not USB-C. It can be connected to a laptop or power socket with a USB cable.

I had to try a few times and then eventually it worked. After you enter the model number, you get to the pages where you have to enter the IBAN number and upload the photo.

As far as I know, the toothbrush can only be purchased with the full range of accessories such as charging station, case...etc. Only the brush heads are available as accessories: https://www.philips.ch/c-p/HX9911_09/diamondclean-9000-elektrische-schallzahnbuerste-mit-app/zubehor The best thing is to contact Philips customer service directly, they can give you more detailed information: https://www.philips.ch/c-w/support-home.html

Well, the cleaning effect cannot be attributed to a toothbrush alone, it also always depends on whether the toothbrush is used correctly. If a product is said to clean well, that also depends on the user behaviour, because not everyone who uses such a sonic toothbrush also uses it correctly or correctly on the gum line. An alternative solution is the Swiss Curaprox Hydrosonic Pro, which not only supposedly cleans very well, but also offers a few unique features that make it even easier to clean. For example, the toothbrush has edges so that it can be placed at the correct 30-degree angle to the gumline. The finest Curen filaments swing out much further than nylon bristles could do, and they are also super soft and gentle on the gums. Curaprox also offers pressure sensors, different speed settings and a long guarantee. To me, a Swiss solution with Swiss inventiveness and very gentle bristles that are small enough to perfectly enclose each tooth is more important than products that supposedly clean well. I bought the toothbrush a few months ago and I can personally confirm that not only does it supposedly clean so well, but it really does clean super, but as I mentioned, it depends on how you use it (I watched the videos of a dentist on YouTube and they explain exactly how to do it properly. I can therefore highly recommend the Curaprox Hydrosonic Pro. Curaprox Hydrosonic Pro I also had Philips toothbrushes in the beginning, many years ago, they hardly lasted as long as the warranty period and also cost a fortune, today it may be better with an extended warranty, but there is nothing like super gentle brush heads and the Curen filaments, that totally convinced me and I stay with the Swiss company Curaprox :-).
