The Mepilex Border Sacrum is a five-layer foam dressing designed for the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers and sacral wounds. It features proprietary Deep Defense Technology, which has been proven to prevent pressure ulcer formation when used alongside standard prevention protocols. This dressing is suitable for moderately to heavily exuding sacral wounds, effectively absorbing and retaining exudate while maintaining adequate fluid balance to prevent maceration.

The improved design includes new tabs and thicker edges for quicker application and patient assessment. The sacral shape has been optimized for better coverage of the high-risk sacral area, with an enhanced seal in the gluteal cleft for maximum protection. Additionally, the dressing incorporates Safetac technology, the original contact layer with silicone adhesion that minimizes pain during dressing changes, ensuring comfort and adaptability to the patient's anatomy. It can be easily removed without damaging the skin, making dressing changes less painful for the patient.
