Worn on the inside, it reflects body heat and thus prevents it from cooling down too quickly. . The golden side is a thin polyester film, which has the advantage that you can see it better in cold, snowy areas than the silver side. The blanket is also windproof, which prevents the body from cooling down even more in cold weather, for example by evaporation of sweat. It should therefore cover the whole person except for the face when it is cold. . When it is hot, however, it should be stretched out as a protective cover rather than worn tightly against the body, so that the person in distress does not overheat and the sweat can fulfil its cooling function.
