Universal locomotive BLS Re 4/4

The BLS locomotives of the Re 425 series are high-performance rectifier locomotives that exhibit exemplary adhesion behavior through various mechanical and electrical measures. This type of locomotive can be optimally used for both heavy-duty service in the mountains and in flatland due to its exceptional capabilities. For these locomotives, the same load program applies on the 27-per-mille gradients as for the much younger converter locomotives of the Re 465 type.
