Product details

No Anhaltine prince was as famous as Leopold I, called the "Old Dessau". And no German writer reached as many people with his novels as Karl May. Perhaps that is why both personalities had to meet literarily. May was fascinated by the "gnarled swashbuckler", as he called the prince. Although he was considered a difficult father of the country, he was very popular with the soldiers and the people because of his sense of humour. Ilja Richter reads the stories of the old Dessauer from the pen of Karl May with great commitment and a great sense of quiet irony.
