Sony The wonderful Mr Rogers

Grumpy journalist Lloyd Vogel (Emmy winner Matthew Rhys, Best Actor in a Drama Series 2018, The Americans), who is really only interested in making a career for himself, is commissioned to write a portrait of the legendary children's entertainer Mr Rogers. He is initially unenthusiastic about the assignment, but hopes that the article will be well received once it is published. While searching for skeletons in Rogers' closet or inconsistencies in his biography, the reporter realises that the TV star is a really good person. In the process, he learns to return to classic values such as kindness and compassion and to overcome his cynicism. A friendship develops between the men and Lloyd gains new perspectives on his own life.
