Matagot Wyrmspan

You are an amateur dragonologist in the world of Wyrmspan, a realm where dragons of all shapes, sizes, and colors soar through the sky. Excavate a cached labyrinth that you've recently discovered beneath your terrain, and attract these marvelous creatures to assemble them in your caverns.

Wyrmspan is an open draft game where you will build a true sanctuary for dragons. Your sanctuary begins with three excavated spaces: the leftmost being your Crimson Cave, your Golden Grotto, and your Amethyst Abyss. During the game, you will construct these three caverns from left to right, first by excavating each underground space, then by playing the dragons in these excavated spaces.

The game is played over four rounds. Each time, players take several turns according to the horizon. Players continue to take turns until they decide to pass. This generally happens when a player has used all their pieces or when they have no more dragons in hand that they want (or can) play.

When a player passes their turn, they can no longer take additional turns during that round, but they can still benefit from certain advantages during other players' turns. Those who have not completed their turn continue to play until they have finished all their pieces or choose to pass. The round ends once all players have passed their turn.

During each turn, you perform one of these five actions:

• Excavate a space
• Attract a dragon to live in the excavated space
• Explore your Crimson Cave
• Explore your Golden Grotto
• Explore your Amethyst Abyss.

The winner is the player who earns the most Victory Points (VP). VP can be earned in several ways: the value of the dragons, the eggs, the sliding cards, the objectives, or even the Dragon Guild.
