A deduction game on the search and stop of the Secret Hitler project
The action takes place in Germany in 1932. As the wave of fascism swept through the country, German politicians tried at all costs to safeguard a diminished liberal government. In Secret Hitler, the players embody these politicians who refuse this fatality. But be careful! Among this group of men are fascists. Worse still. One of them is Secret Hitler!
What will be your role?
The game begins with assigning roles to each player: Liberals, Fascists or Hitler.
Players are secretly divided into two teams: - Liberals: They are in the majority, but do not know each other. - Fascists: These are hidden from other players, but know each other. They are also aware of Hitler's identity.
Hitler is part of the fascist camp but does not know the identity of the members of his camp. He will have to be aware lui-même of their identities during the game.
The election of the Chancellor, the highlight of the
At the beginning of the game, a Candidate for President is appointed. The latter will then have to choose his future Chancellor. To come to power, the Chancellor will have to be elected by an absolute majority. If the Liberals can learn to trust each other, they have enough votes to control the election and save the day. But the fascists will say whatever it takes to get elected, advance their agenda and win the game.
Each round of play consists of 3 sections: - The Election: The government is formed. - The Legislative Session: a law is promulgated - Executive Action: The President exercises his power.
The game ends in two different ways:- The Liberals win the game if they manage to enact 5 Liberal Laws, or if Hitler is killed. - Fascists win if 6 Fascist Laws are promulgated, or if Hitler is elected Chancellor after three Fascist Laws have been promulgated.
