Product details
The French "Sécurité Civile" (Technical Relief Organization in France) received its first CL-415 on February 9, 1995. It was recognizable by the air stabilizers on the wingtips. The biggest difference compared to its propeller-driven predecessor, the 215, was the two new turboprop engines. The efficiency and speed of the Canadair were due to its ability to refuel on the nearest large body of water. At a speed of 110 kilometers per hour, water could be taken on through aquaplaning.
