Product details
The model XXVII 'Seehund' was one of the smallest submarines that the German Kriegsmarine planned to use for small combat units from mid-1944. Alongside the one-man submarines 'Molch' and 'Biber' and the two-man submarine 'Hecht', neither of which saw frontline action due to poor sea behaviour, the 'Seehund' was quite successful with 93,000 GRT sunk. Thanks to its quiet electric drive for creeping, the submarine was very difficult to detect with the tracking devices of the time. Main propulsion was a 60 hp 6-cylinder diesel engine. As armament, 1 torpedo was carried on each side of the boat. The two-man crew consisted of the commander and the engineer. Model with 181 parts and printed blocks. Model dimensions (LxH): 16.3 x 7 cm.
