One of the most famous aircraft of World War II. Designed in the USSR since 1941 and produced in mass quantities. Production of subsequent versions of the Il-2 was completed just a few years after the war. A total of about 36,000 of these machines were built. The early versions faced many issues and were replaced in 1942-43 by Il-2 aircraft with a two-man crew, more powerful engines, and enhanced armament. This model features the original wing configuration, which is completely different from the slightly later Il-2M3 model, where they adopted a more aggressive angle of attack. In the West, the aircraft was popularly known as the "Shturmovik."

The Il-2 aircraft has been designed from COBI building blocks in a 1:32 scale using new elements. The block model offers many movable features such as a rotating propeller, movable ailerons, and wheels with rubber tires that can be folded into a horizontal position. Details and historical winter camouflage have been reproduced. The blue underside of the aircraft draws attention. The cockpit, whose canopy has been redesigned, can be opened to accommodate the pilot and gunner figures in their seats. Thanks to a special display stand with a plaque featuring the aircraft's name and a spot for attaching the figures, the entire set looks fantastic!
