Eutrich near Königswartha, at the end of the 17th century: The young goose-keeper Krabat becomes a mill squire in the so-called Devil's Mill. He quickly discovers that his employer is in fact a sorcerer who has mastered the black art. When Krabat takes a closer look at the miller's teachings and soon has to make a pact with the devil, he realizes that he is trapped and in mortal danger ...
