Pigeons in particular are known for nesting everywhere and contaminating large areas. This can be prevented by using the spikes without injuring the birds. Thanks to the robust construction and weather-resistant material (polycarbonate), neither the animals themselves nor rain or bad weather can seriously damage the spikes. This guarantees extensive long-term protection. The pigeon defence spikes are supplied ready for use and do not need to be assembled. Adhesive is applied to the bottom of the base plate and the spikes are then simply placed in the desired location. The spikes adhere to a variety of materials such as wood, metal, plastics, bricks, stones and plaster/rendered concrete with an adhesive made from neutral silicone.
