Can you also split dried beech wood "logs" with this axe? that is, split smaller pieces of beech wood again! Is this axe suitable for this? -Splitting dried beech firewood into smaller pieces?

I bought the axe to split smaller pieces. But actually it is not built for that. The angle of the grind and the non-stick coating prevent you from jamming the pieces in the axe. (Often necessary when the pieces can't stand on the splitting stick themselves). I can therefore not recommend it.
