The passionflower is native to northern Argentina and is a well-known plant in tropical and subtropical regions due to its sweet fruits, commonly referred to as passion fruit. These plants thrive well in our climate as climbing plants with beautiful large flowers that bloom from July to September. The Passiflora is hardy, meaning the plant is covered with green leaves year-round. It is a climbing plant that clings to supports and quickly covers trellises or walls. It is robust and fast-growing, producing many flowers. Additionally, they are ideal for pot planting but can also be planted outdoors. Passiflora plants can grow up to 3 or 4 meters high and are attractive to bees and butterflies.

In this set, you will find six plants in three different colors: "Avalanche," "Pura Vida," and "Purple Haze."

Passiflora Purple Haze: The Passiflora Purple Haze has a light purple flower and is winter hardy down to -8 °C. The Purple Haze is a good and fast grower.

Passiflora Avalanche: The Passiflora Avalanche has white flowers. It not only produces beautiful blooms but also has an unusual leaf. The Avalanche is winter hardy down to -10 °C.

Passiflora Pura Vida: The last plant in this mix has red-violet flowers and is a lovely annual bloomer. The plant is winter hardy down to -6 °C.

Care: The Passiflora edulis has no complex requirements. It grows quickly and is not very demanding regarding soil and nutrition. The plant prefers slightly moist soil and a sunny location with some shade. However, the Passiflora is toxic to pets.
