Plant in a Box Cupressus sempervirens totem - Tuscan cypress

If there is a plant that reminds one of the Italian landscape, it is the Italian cypress. This iconic, columnar conifer can grow up to 5 meters tall and remains green even in winter. The female trees produce round cones. Plant these trees in groups to create a southern atmosphere. The Tuscan variety is narrower and grows slower and more compact than the natural variety, making it ideal for small gardens.

Care
Ensure that the soil is well-drained to allow water to flow away. Plant the cypress in a large hole with Mediterranean potting soil and conifer fertilizer. Place the cypress in full sun. It is advisable to protect the plant during prolonged periods of severe frost, as it does not tolerate it well. Pruning of the Tuscan cypress is not necessary, as it naturally grows narrow and upright.
