Product details
A flow filter is fed by a pump located in the water. The filter is the highest point in this cleaning circuit, from where the water flows back into the pond. The cleaning of the water is carried out by sponges inside the filter, which also become a home for diligent microorganisms over time. The advantage of flow filters is that they are easily accessible above ground, making cleaning and maintenance quick and straightforward. The BioSmart UVC 16000 from OASE is an effective biological-mechanical flow filter for clear and healthy pond water. It is suitable for ponds up to 16 m³, with fish stock up to 8 m³, and for koi up to 4 m³. The flow filter can be buried up to one third of its height. The cleaning of the polluted pond water is done through special active filter sponges. The UVC technology combats green algae and pathogens. The flow filter features a temperature and pollution indicator. For cleaning, the filter sponges can simply be squeezed out using a practical cleaning mechanism. The integrated bottom drain allows for the disposal of dirty water. The flow filter has an inlet with a universal stepped hose connector ranging from ¾ inch to 1½ inch and a DN 75 outlet. The various sponges effectively break down toxic by-products such as ammonium, ammonia, nitrite, or nitrate. The integrated UVC unit in the filter or included in the set ensures the rapid elimination of algae and pathogens. The thermometer always indicates the current water temperature.
