A top cross trainer for the living room

We are clearly talking about a device that is designed for home use, i.e. for the living room. That's why I don't understand the other comments. It is a top-of-the-range cross trainer, ideally suited to people who are 180cm or taller and who train their stamina two or three times a week.
However, it is NOT a premium machine like the ones you find in fitness centres, you would have to pay considerably more, from CHF 2000.00/3000.00!
The display is kept simple and shows exactly what needs to be shown. Full stop! The trainer is heavy enough and stands stable on the floor. The Kettler also makes a high-quality and reliable impression. The assembly is very well presented, but certainly helpful if you have manual skills, otherwise get help. However, you should tighten one or two screws once you have used the device about a dozen times. Then it's smooth and quiet!
The heart rate monitor on the handle reacts very slowly and unreliably, but the premium devices in the fitness centres also have the same problem. You have to have the balls of your hands on the sensor for about 2 minutes.
Despite the minor weaknesses, this is an excellent cross trainer for private use.

    Pro

    • Sturdy, heavy appliance with castors
    • Intuitive menus
    • Different profiles
    • Very quiet in use
    • Practical pre-set programmes
    • Simple, practical display

    Contra

    • Heart rate monitor on the device is very slow
    • Some technical know-how to assemble
    • Retighten screws after two/three weeks

    Price / performance is right

I can recommend the unit to others.

    Pro

    • Makes a robust impression
    • Has height adjustable feet to adjust the tilt

    Contra

    • The front axle is welded on at an angle, but the self-aligning bearings compensate for this.
