Horizon Fitness Omega Z
Horizon Fitness Omega Z
Update after one year:
After 1 year of using, the treadmill stopped working. It is still under "warranty", the problem is that this is a "Galaxus warrany", it means - it is just warranty just formaly. In the case of any defect, you are supposed to send the unit back to Galaxus (weight 100+ kg, pay for it) and you are not allowed to pay the arrival of the official technican to make an on-site service. So, yes - Galaxus is preventing you of calling the official technican even if you are ready to pay for it?!
Conclusion - avoid buying these bulky items from Galaxus at any costs.
Original review:
Very solid and robust treadmill with very poorly designed interface. There are no buttons to adjust speed/inclination on side arms. There are no dedicated buttons to set predefined speeds (example: walk/jog/run), speed is set by +/- in step of 0.5 km/h (you cannot keep pressed + or -).
It is not possible to set the display to show speed and distance at the same time.
Treadmill should make less noise.
It seems that during the transport the rear cap was pressed and slightly deformed, so the belt is rubbing against that cap and makes noise. I had to loosen the screws holding the cap to solve the problem of rubbing.
The maintenance is complicated, to oil the belt, rear tension bolt should be completely loosen and after that balance it again, it
should be done every 500 km.
The delivery process is a separate "nice" story.
Delivery is done by Swiss post cargo. Horizon Omega Z was sitting in their warehouse for 9 days.
Even if you pay for "the delivery to the point of use", it doesn't mean they will
deliver it to the point of use, because the Swiss post decided that the driver and his colleague
have 8 minutes for delivery?!

Cool treadmill especially in conjunction with the Kinomap app.

The device itself is great, except that it is unfortunately a bit loud when you increase the inclination of 0%. At 0% it's great for working out, it's just as loud as it should be. But as soon as you increase the incline, it gets super loud.
Otherwise, it pairs great with Zwift and works flawlessly.
