The Triangle Sharpmaker from Spyderco is a very easy to use knife sharpening kit that gives excellent results. I have owned my own Sharpmaker for about 3 years now and it continues to work flawlessly. The set comes with an instructional video. There are also various tutorials and reviews on Youtube where the Sharpmaker always does well. I can highly recommend this product to anyone who likes to work with sharp knives!

Simple tool for sharp knives
I have been using this device for years and my kitchen and other knives are all top sharp with it. With this part it is quite easy to hit the right angle and thus to achieve a really good sharpness AND edge retention. If a knife is dirty and has corners and edges, the diamond sharpener (to be bought separately) can also remove quite a bit of material and make the blade usable again. Of course, a bad knife does not make it better ;)

super sharpening tool for beginners
Sharpens most knives flawlessly. Ideal for someone who does not want to learn the grinding craft and still wants to keep his knives sharp. However, works only with knives with standard angle.
Tip: color the edge of the knife with a pencil, after a few grinding movements check whether the paint on the edge is gone, if not, still test the alternative angle from the Sharpmaker.
There are also many useful videos on Youtube.

You have to get used to it, so don’t start with your best knife.
