I don't think I need to say anything more about the advantages of "self-sparkling" here.
The appliance has a fresh design and is an eye-catcher in a modern kitchen.
The choice of materials is quite high quality with matt aluminium on which you can quickly see fingerprints. The rest of the plastic parts, especially the back lid, fall a little short in quality and fit.
The glass bottles are very attractive and naturally do not release any substances into the water. In my opinion, the caps are not quite as tight as the plastic bottles, which means that the carbon dioxide escapes a little more quickly. However, since the bottles are used up very quickly, this is not a big problem.Pro

I am a bit disappointed by the complicated handling - we had a Sodaclub machine for 20 years and now bought this one because of the glass bottles. Parking the bottle, locking it and also unlocking it is rather tedious, almost impossible for smaller hands and therefore a real minus point.
The bottles are very beautiful, and the device is also shapely, but what use is that if the handling is impractical? That's why we give it an "average" overall rating. The design principle "form follows function" was neglected here.Pro

I am super satisfied.
Overall: If you drink a lot of water and have to constantly struggle with carrying bottles, you should definitely get a Sodastream. If you still have one of the old generation with a plastic bottle at home, you should definitely consider not buying a new one!
