We use oat milk in this frother, and it actually gets it quite frothy, warm and smooth.

Practical and great foam with the right milk
Corrected rating: We already had a Jura Hot & Cold and ordered a new one after it died. We continue to be impressed by the excellent design and practicality.
As can also be seen from other reviews, the service life of the base is unfortunately limited. Technically, there is no reason why the appliance should not last 20 years. The technical design is so simple that a defect after 2 to 5 years must be deliberately intended by the manufacturer. This is a disgrace for Jura, which combines outstanding design with cheap Chinese production of the base. The milk container, on the other hand, is durable.
The demise of the appliance, which was around 5 years old, was characterised by the fact that the milk frother turned more and more slowly, sometimes no longer started and the milk therefore no longer frothed. The lower part of the milk frother is therefore broken. I cancelled a repair attempt because some of the screws have a triangular notch and require special tools. So Jura makes it difficult to repair. We can continue to use the old milk container with the new base, so we now use two milk containers (see photos).
The milk containers are easy to wash out and we put them in the dishwasher once a week. Fortunately, it has no non-stick coating like problematic Teflon (eternal chemicals) and doesn't need one (tried and tested stainless steel).Pro
